Yesterday was a fun day. I headed over to our friends Allan and Jeanette's house for our monthly D&D meet up. I had not been there the past few times so it was nice to get back into the swing of things and also to see my friends again. We had a blast and played 5 hours.
I really lucked out as they let me look through some items they planned to give away and I scored a recordable DVD player, a cd player, a travel iron, and a really cool metal art piece I plan to paint and turn into a coat rack.
We had our usual book exchange and I also came home with a bag full of new books to read. Jeanette also loaned me my first german novel. I am excited to start and see how well I do with my first non kids book.
But the highlight of my day was when they surprised me with two cans of rootbeer. I was super excited and throughly enjoyed the rootbeers to the fullest. First one in nearly two years and rootbeer never tasted so good.
I even convinced Toni to give it a try and he was not too impressed. He quickly responded how disgusted he was, and that it tasted like pee. We are not even going to try to figure out how he knows what pee tastes like but this picture is worth a thousand words.
It was a great start to the week. :)

my husband wont touch root beer either..he says it tastes like toothpaste..must be a european thing..lol I can buy root beer in a store here wich is nice. I also make my own using root beer extract and fizzy water..tastes just like the real deal!
