New apartment- Finale

This is the living room. A nice photo of the air mattress toni annihilated last night lol. And the lovely heap of shoes.  YOu can see the little window on the wall that links up to the kitchen. Toni likes to act like he's in a taco bell drive through and order food through it lol.
This is the utter chaos of the living room lol.
Another view.

I forgot to take a photo of the bathroom I will add one, but it is a blue theme. It has a shower and a separate bath, two sinks, and a huge american style mirrored medicine cabinet. *)

New apartment part 2

This is the hallway from the other end, looking out of the bed room. You can see a built in cupboard on the wall. To the right of the photo is the bathroom. To the left is the hallway/ storeroom.
This is the very empty bedroom at the moment.
View of the bedroom from the hallway.
This is the kitchen. Unseen in the photo to the right on the wall is a little window with shutters that opens into the living room. The tiles behind the range and sing have deco with kitchen designs in them.

New apartment part 1

So here are some pics of the new apartment. Please disregard the complete chaotic state it is currently in. This is a view of the door and the front hall from the kitchen. To the left of the picture you can see another hallway segment. There are three small square rooms that make up the corridors. To the right of the picture is the living room.
This is the view out of the front door, into the entry hall.

Christmas in Germany

Toni was excited to see his family of course, and very happy to get a few days off of work. Christmas wasn't such an easy holiday for me. It was really an eye opener to how far away I am from my family. Thanksgiving was my first holiday away from home, but I really felt it on Christmas.
Christmas Day we went to Toni's mothers house for dinner. They all ate Goose, but I was too freaked out, so I tried oh so politely to shift my serving onto Toni's plates, but note to the wise subtle acts do not go unnoticed in Germany.

As you can see I was very excited over my new mixer. Now that we have an apartment, I can actually put it to use.

Overall it was a nice holiday. I enjoyed spending Christmas with Toni's family, and getting to experience the German version of the holiday. But there were so many things I missed about home. As much as I love it here, I can't wait to celebrate the holidays again in America.

Bad Wimpfen

Tomorrow we head out for Bad Wimpfen. It will be about a five hour drive and we will leave about 8 am. Wish Toni lots of luck. He is starting to get nervous.

I am very excited and look forward to my first time back in West Germany.
